MAGNETORQUERS
The magnetorquer core is made from a 2.5cm long and 1.2cm wide piece of cobalt iron. It was machined by the technical staff at UPEI. This small core then has a very thin copper wire wrapped around it 1250 times.
REACTION WHEELS
The flywheel portion of the reaction wheel is created from a 1.5cm thick piece of a 3cm diameter brass rod. This diameter is machined down to be 2.5cm. The hole is then cut in the middle at a diameter of 1.8cm to house the small motor. The holes on the perimeter are then tapped to hold the setscrews. These reaction wheels were machined by the technical staff at UPEI.
